Freescale Acquires California Semiconductor Company

Austin-based Freescale bought Zenverge Inc., the developer of high-definition content processing integrated circuits. Zenverge, which was founded in 2006, employed 55 workers. Its technology is designed to enable the conversion of one media stream into multiple streams, each formatted for the specific Internet connected device or platform where it will be displayed.
