
Darrell has been president, and now Chief Executive Officer, of NSTAR® since 2013. Before his appointment as president/CEO he served as NSTAR’s VP of business development, responsible for developing a strong customer base, many of which we still support today. In Darrell’s more than two decades in the industry, he has held positions as field service engineer, field service manager and sales representative. Darrell has worked for individual device makers as well as original equipment suppliers, which gives him a unique perspective on the service industry. He holds an associate degree in electronic engineering and a bachelor’s degree in business management.

Elizabeth joined the NSTAR team in May 2010 as a recruiter and has since grown with the organization, assuming the role of director of recruiting in 2013 and general manager in 2022. She brings more than 10 years of experience in sourcing, networking and recruiting in high tech industries, including semiconductor, power distribution, manufacturing and design, telecommunications, solar, automation, construction and facilities. Elizabeth keeps up to date with the latest technical recruiting news by being an active member of LinkedIn semiconductor groups, Triangle Technical Recruiters Association and the Triangle Society for Human Resource Management. As a graduate of North Carolina State University Poole College of Management, she holds a bachelor’s degree in business management with a concentration in human resources.

Jimmy joined NSTAR in 2011 and was promoted to the role of director of facility services in January 2018. He has over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, serving in roles such as mechanical contractor, process piping designer, install coordinator and project manager. Jimmy then moved to process piping and mechanical component sales with Kyser Company, where he progressed into the regional manager position with the acquisition of Metron Technology. Jimmy also served as global account manager at Applied Materials, following its acquisition of Metron Technology, where he received an award for “Best Product Sales” of the year in 2007 for his efforts in growing the Micron Global Account into products, services and equipment. Jimmy studied business at Boise State University and resides in Boise, Idaho.

Andy Jones was appointed as NSTAR’s director of asset relocation in May 2019. He has held previous positions at well-known semiconductor companies including Texas Instruments Inc., Advanced Micro Devices Inc., and AG Semiconductor Services, and has more than 38 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. Andy has worked in lighting, specialist materials divisions, equipment services, fab development, and operations. He has extensive knowledge throughout the semiconductor supply chain, from manufacturing to tool refurbishment and installations. Andy attended East Texas State University with a double major in physics and mathematics.

Kaven DeShane was appointed director of equipment services in February 2022. His goal is to continue building strong relationships with NSTAR’s customers to help them thrive and succeed leveraging the company’s services. Kaven has over 30 years in the semiconductor industry with Applied Materials (AMAT). He started as a customer engineer, working closely with customers to support their equipment and process development. Kaven also has international training and experience overseeing regional accounts. His responsibilities also entailed creating, integrating and releasing new service products for AMAT in the c-Si solar and semiconductor segments. Over the past 10 years, Kaven has focused on business development, working directly with sales and customers to create service packages and close service deals. He has an Associate Degree in Electronics (ASE) from DeVry and a Bachelor of Science in management from the University of Phoenix.

Els Teunen was named NSTAR’s director of finance in March 2022. She has over 25 years of experience in finance in the health care and higher education industries. Els developed her career by working for various organizations across the East Coast of the United States and in Belgium. She has held roles such as senior business analyst, associate director of accounting and senior director of financial planning and analysis. Els has experience providing high-level financial analysis and developing comprehensive financial statements. She has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from KU Leuven and an MBA from the University of Louisville. Els is also a certified public accountant in North Carolina.

Marty Kornegay was appointed as NSTAR’s director of North American operations in December 2022. He has been a member of the NSTAR team since November of 2011. With more than 23 years in the IT industry, he is an IT operations and network administration expert and has a proven background in project management, vendor/customer relations, and software system integration. Marty has been in direct leadership of high-performing distributed teams supporting semiconductor OEM and IDM clients throughout the U.S. His goal at NSTAR is to leverage technological capabilities that accelerate business and communication between NSTAR stakeholders and the industry. Marty holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is pursuing a master’s degree in computer science at Winston-Salem State University.
