U.S.-based semiconductor chip manufacturer based in the northeast
NSTAR Global Services was contracted by a renowned tool broker to assist in the
decommissioning of a variety of 150mm semiconductor production tools.
The project required tight time constraints to remove the equipment from the site. In addition to the project’s challenges and timelines, the site required access for potential buyers to view the equipment.
The site owners insisted that all vendors adhere to their site’s strict EHS policies and handoff procedures.
Our recruiters and HR professionals assembled a team of decommissioning engineers on a time & materials (T&M) basis who could work on multiple tool platforms, enabling a flexible manpower delivery system.
The execution of the plan leaned heavily on perhaps our most important principle: safety.
NSTAR is committed to providing a safe work environment. This requires a flexible approach to different challenges and site restrictions while minimizing risk through careful planning and execution.
